I am offering half price on readings for the rest of April at my Woodstock NY office for new clients or those who have not been by for a while. I will be away for a few days at the big national Tarot School Readers Studio conference at the end of the month.

I hope to hear from you soon!

Tarot readings at your Woodstock area party or event available!

Published April 6, 2019 by Donnalee of Kingston NY

Recently there has been an increasing number of requests for me to read tarot at private events and I love doing it if it’s the right kind of situation. Here is an idea of what it is like, so you can see if it would be something you would be interested in having at your Woodstock NY area event. These can be bachelorette parties, gatherings, reunions, private social events for almost any or no real reason, held at your home or venue.

I always do readings geared towards the best outcome for the person, whatever the chosen subject matter–for general best outcome or best outcome for money or romance or job (or funding or advanced studies or multi-million-dollar business or health and sanity or relocating or any other private concern). I tend to be sincere, private, and try to offer practical suggestions, so each person would sit with me privately somewhere, often a spare room or private porch etc., and there would not be an audience during the readings. It’s fine if people chat about their readings afterwards, but it gets too distracting to have extra people hanging on every word for the sitter to really get the best value from the experience. Additionally, if I say something really confidential to the person or they to me, I want it to be their choice to keep it to themselves if they desire. Many sensitive topics come up during readings, and I will always keep it private, no matter who the sitter is or their level of public profile etc. My goal is to genuinely help people feel like they have a good sense of what will help them for real in their lives, instead of me just making predictions or acting as some sort of public entertaining. These events work best with people who understand that and who are interested in what I have to offer. I bring a range of decks with which to read and sitters may choose any of them for their readings.

The fee is $35.00 plus optional tip for each person for a reading of twenty minutes per person. Ten people to be read for seems to be about the maximum practical number except if the event is all day long and there is more time for breaks etc. Practically, five people might take a bit under two hours total including breaks for me, and we can always work around schedules and numbers.

I did a tremendously fun event for a group of ten people last night, and it felt really successful: I enjoyed getting to know each person, and they seemed so pleased with their readings. Each person approached it with an open mind and a sense of wanting to learn and to benefit, and the feedback was very positive and uplifting to hear. It was a wonderful night for all, and I was delighted to be part of a special celebration for them. Things came together to make it be a worthwhile party for all of us.

I hope that I can take part in such an enjoyable, beneficial, and novel experience for your next Woodstock area gathering. Please email me at laughingdakinimusic@yahoo.com to find out more.

Thanks and best wishes–

Here is a timely post by Mary Greer, whom I met this weekend at Readers Studio 2015 and got a chance to chat a bit about The Fool with. I am very pro-Fool these days!

Will the real Fool please step up?

Does the Tarot Fool bring up the rear in a long parade of triumphal figures, a warning about what will happen if one fails on the spiritual path? Or does he appear at the beginning, full of trust and hope, setting out on a new adventure?

Is the dog his faithful companion or a wild beast that threatens to tear him apart or ludicrously expose his privates?

What dangers does the Fool face?

Tarot Pink Promotional Banner by Roxi Sim Tarot Pink Promotional Banner by Roxi Sim, Creator of the Pearls of Wisdom Tarot

Tarot Pink for Cancer is a collaborative tarot deck project organized by Ron Leong, founder of Tarot eCards, a digital app for storing electronic versions of whole tarot decks on your smartphone. The mission of the collaborative tarot deck project is to raise funds for breast cancer research. The concept is to reach beyond the tarot community and introduce tarot to the greater public as a tool for emotional, spiritual, and physical healing, with a focus on fighting breast cancer.

The theme of the deck is “Tarot Pink,” with an emphasis on the tarot’s ability to inspire, empower, and support in a person’s physical wellness journey. Although the financial cause is dedicated to breast cancer research, the deck itself is keyed to all forms of physical healing and the path to wellness. The color pink…

Had a great time at Tarot Readers Salon 2015 in New York!

Published April 27, 2015 by Donnalee of Kingston NY

I spent a fantastic quite-long weekend (Thursday morning through Sunday afternoon) at the Tarot School’s Readers Studio ( http://www.tarotschool.com/RS15/index.html ) and Tarot & Psychology Conference, both hosted by Ruth Ann and Wald Amberstone in New York City.  What an excellent time and great chance to meet many folks interested in the subject, including those who taught classes, or brought the tarot decks they had designed, and/or books they had written.  I learned so much, and met so many wonderful people, that it really cheered me up and improved both my mood and my reading skills perceptibly.  I’ll add more as I remember more!
