I’m offering zoom distance readings now

Published July 20, 2020 by Donnalee of Kingston NY

I have figured out how to do zoom readings now (with the laptop sideways actually), and am happy to offer them.  Thank you to the folks who already contacted me about distance readings–that has been really encouraging.

The best way to make an appointment is to email me at laughingdakini at twc dot com, since I am online much of the day and just am not a cellphone person.  I am offering the same sorts of readings I do in person, which is either 20 minutes or 40 minutes on HOW TO BRING ABOUT THE BEST OUTCOME FOR ANY ASPECT OF YOUR LIFE.  Please read the page about ‘what to expect during a reading with me’ prior to making an appointment, and choose the deck you would like me to use from the list there, since that will save time during the reading itself.  All of the decks listed there are available for our use, and there may be new decks coming into rotation at my whim–there are just so many great decks and more coming out.  These readings are a real bargain for the time being, since it seems fair to give a lower price while I am refining the best way to go about the distance readings, and since basically times are hard for everyone.  As a result, the 20 minute readings are $21.00 (instead of $35.00 in person at the office), and the 40 minute readings are $42.00 (instead of $65.00 in person at the office), and I will not book them too closely together in case of possible technical glitches.  You will be expected to send the payment in advance of the reading at the time of making the appointment,  via Paypal to laughingdakini at twc dot com.  The appointment is not considered confirmed until the payment is received.  The readings will be done by Zoom, and we will be in touch about it all when you email me for the appointment.  One thing that is great is that the cards show up really big on the screen, and that can help you see a lot of detail.  Since many of the decks I use are unusual, that is a real bonus.

If I decide that this is a genuinely good venue for doing readings and decide to continue them for the long term, and people start to be able to get back to work etc., the prices will eventually go up.  We’ll see.  It would only be when I felt the readings online are as beneficial as the ones in person, and when folks aren’t in such tough financial shape due to virus etc.

Oh, and please, if you have had a reading with me and been happy with it, please consider sending me a little email endorsement that you would feel okay about me posting to the feedback section of this site, with your initials or name or whatever you are comfortable with attached to it.  They can also be posted under ‘endorsement by client of 6/13/20’ or similar term for confidentiality.  It’s okay if the reading was a while ago, as long as you can recall what you felt about it.   I forget all the time to ask people since it is not my priority, and so am reminding myself and clients here.

Thanks, folks.   I look forward to doing this new version of readings, and I hope it’ll be great for all.

Thanks and best wishes

Mirabai in Woodtock NY needs financial help–details and link here

Published April 7, 2020 by Donnalee of Kingston NY

From Mirabai shop in Woodstock NY:

“Dear Friends,

Sometimes the hero is you.

Mirabai is currently in need of heroes. Legions of heroes. The sort of heroes that only Tolkien or Campbell or Rowling could imagine. Venerable souls drawn to the higher ground, to matters of spirit, to the power they see in small things, to idyllic spaces like our own. But like all such spaces, Mirabai is not only vital, it’s fragile, and at this point in the storm, our ship is sinking. This is an S.O.S. This is an emergency. This is not a drill.

Today Mirabai is launching a Gofundme effort to save the store: https://www.gofundme.com/f/keep-mirabai-books-afloat-in-the-time-of-covid19?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1

For those of you who’ve been ordering gift certificates from us these past two weeks while the store’s been shuttered, we are forever grateful for that essential infusion of funds and the moral support those sales provided us. But as we head into the uncertainty of the virus’ curve and with income now slowed to a trickle, a mountain of overdue and soon-to-be-due invoices, mortgage payments and fixed expenses for the shop are overwhelming us right now. Money is tight all over, but won’t you please throw Mirabai a lifeline if you’re able? No amount is too small. The size of your individual contribution does not matter. What matters is that the expansive energy of this community be ignited, collectively. That is what we are asking. Words cannot express how grateful we have been for all of your support throughout the years and how much your contribution now – small or large – would mean to us at this crucial moment.

We realize this is a hard moment for everyone, but it’s also a big meaningful moment. When we took on the pleasure and responsibility of Mirabai 20 years ago this month, we knew we were not only inheriting a mission, but also fostering a community of like-minded souls seeking to discover a path that tilts upward toward a better world. It’s been our honor to serve that community these many years. Together we have co-created the space we know as Mirabai, and now we ask you to help save what you’ve created – to come to the rescue. Mirabai needs a hand. Mirabai needs a hug. Mirabai needs a hero.

Sometimes the hero is you.

With deepest gratitude,

Audrey & Jeff

New office in Kingston, NY opens February 1, 2020

Published January 30, 2020 by Donnalee of Kingston NY

The new office in uptown Kingston, NY, will be open by appointment on Thursdays, Fridays, Sundays, and Mondays, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Be aware that weather may affect the appointments–too icy or snowy equals ‘not safe to drive’, so I will not be there and will reschedule.

The office in Woodstock, NY, will be permanently closed as of January 31, 2020, due to the pending sale of the building it was in. It was a lovely place, but so is the new one, in a charming old Victorian house at a crossroads, interestingly enough loosely surrounded by handsome antique churches and some gorgeous big old trees.

The way to make an appointment is to email me at laughingdakini at twc dot com–I don’t use a voice phone for the business at this time. That is also the email to use for questions that are not addressed online–the website is incomplete and not fully as I intend, but life has been very busy. New clients will be expected to prepay the first appointment by Paypal  to laughingdakini at twc dot com to assure that none of the appointment gets spent fiddling with payment–it seems a waste of time, especially in a 20-minute appointment. The address will be given to new clients after appointments are confirmed.

Details are still emerging so this post will get editted–for example, there will be longer hours as the days grow longer, and I am trying to arrange a day once a month for pay-what-you-want–but I wanted to have this current information available for those who have been asking. I look forward to seeing you there! Please feel free to email laughingdakini at twc dot com with questions or to book your appointment now.

Thanks and best wishes

Since my business cards have my old email address on them, some folks are still trying to reach me that way, but I do not get those emails. PLEASE ONLY CONTACT ME AT LAUGHINGDAKINI@TWC.COM and not my old email address which is still on some of the business cards. The current one gets checked every day. Any other email is no longer current for me and I can’t access them.

Thanks and I hope to hear from you soon.

Client validation of me being empath

Published May 8, 2019 by Donnalee of Kingston NY

My email to repeat client while doing a candle for them today, 5/8/19:

“Also, are you guys having too much coffee? I could SMELL coffee in the sage I was burning with your candle, which usually does not smell like coffee but does always smell like whatever issue the people are having–I’d check with [another insider who likes coffee] if I were you!”

The reply was:
“Yes! we have been having a lot of it! I will try to cut down on it! thanks for the candle, as always it’s great!”

Nice feedback from a candle client’s system

Published May 5, 2019 by Donnalee of Kingston NY

Private email from today (5/5/19) about candle which had been finished fifteen minutes previously, used by permission of client who is part of a multiple system, which is what she means by “being out”:

hihihihi
is it done now? I’m feeling some benefit
from it already! I don’t feel anxious
and even though we’re sick I don’t feel
that bad when I am out.
thanks for doing that for me!
